Code of Conduct
By participating in the GEP TECHATHON event, you agree to abide by the following code of conduct:
Please treat all other participants with utmost respect. We ask that you act kindly, behave professionally, and do not insult or put down other attendees.
We welcome attendees from all backgrounds. This event is about innovation, partnership, and engagement in the developer community.
ZERO TOLERANCE TO ANY KIND OF HARASSMENT
Harassment includes offensive verbal comments related to gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, nationality, or religion, sexual images in public spaces, deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, photography or audio/video recording against reasonable consent, sustained disruption of talks or other events, inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention.
- If at any point you feel that you or a fellow hacker is being harassed, please notify the nearest organizer immediately.
- If a participant engages in harassing behaviour, the hackathon organizers may take any action they deem appropriate. This includes warning the offender, expulsion from the GEP TECHATHON or reporting their behaviour to local law enforcement.
- Photography is not prohibited, but please respect people’s privacy if they object to being in the frame. It is inappropriate to take photographs in contexts where people have a reasonable expectation of privacy.
BE AWESOME & HAVE FUN
Hack, meet new people, get creative, and have a good time. Getting something meaningful done within such a short amount of time can be stressful, but we'd like to encourage everyone to take a break every now and then to relax and enjoy the event.
Attendees violating these rules may be asked to leave the GEP TECHATHON at the sole discretion of the organizers.
Thank you for helping make this a great event for all.
